Because when challenge meets purpose, and passion turns into progress, that’s magic at work, and it’s what we show up for everyday.</p></div><p>As a <strong>Senior Product Manager for Policy & Governance</strong>, you will own the execution roadmap for a core product area that enables our enterprise customers to manage organizational risk, enforce internal usage policies, and maintain regulatory compliance across their Smartsheet deployment. This role plays a critical part in helping customers control how their data is used, shared, and retained - by both humans and AI systems. </p> <p>You will act as a key leader for platform governance, collaborating closely with engineering, UX, legal, security and sales teams to deliver solutions that provide granular control, ensure data integrity, and drive adoption of our premium governance and control features.</p> <p>This is a high-impact, hands-on role for a strategic thinker who is customer-obsessed, understands the needs of IT/Governance teams, and is passionate about solving complex policy enforcement and data lifecycle management challenges at scale.</p> <p><strong>You Will:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Contribute to the long-term vision for a core area of Smartsheet's policy enforcement, data lifecycle management, and governance capabilities, ensuring these products meet enterprise standards</li> <li>Own the execution roadmap for critical governance capabilities, including retention and deletion policies, data classification and enterprise controls that manage external sharing</li> <li>Serve as the primary product owner on corporate governance, AI governance, data privacy (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and organizational policy requirements, aligning cross-functional teams around effective compliance solutions</li> <li>Identify, scope, and help lead monetizable governance offerings, working closely with pricing and sales teams to drive adoption of features that enable centralized control and compliance reporting</li> <li>Collaborate closely with Legal and Security teams to translate evolving regulatory requirements and internal policy needs into actionable product features and API capabilities</li> <li>Analyse market trends, competitive offerings, and customer feedback from CIOs, Compliance Officers, and IT Administrators to inform feature prioritization and contribute to overall strategic product decisions</li> <li>Represent governance product capabilities internally and externally (e.g., with customers and partners), clearly communicating the value and controls provided by your owned features</li> <li>Collaborate effectively with and offer informal mentorship to engineering and design team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaborative product delivery</li> <li>Perform other duties as assigned</li> </ul> <h4><strong>You Have:</strong></h4> <ul> <li>5+ years of product management experience, including delivering impactful SaaS or enterprise software solutions</li> <li>2+ years of direct experience in governance, compliance, or information management product management, focusing on data retention, policy enforcement, or eDiscovery for B2B enterprise customers</li> <li>Proven ability to define and execute feature-level roadmaps for complex and regulated ...
