The only way to make this happen is if you truly love your craft and are deeply committed to growth.</p></div><h4><strong>About the role</strong></h4> <p>The Integrations Team owns the pipelines that enable data to flow in and out of HackerRank, allowing customers to use HackerRank products from any third-party tool seamlessly. We meet the customers where they are from Applicant Tracking Systems to communication tools such as Slack and Zoom. Integration is a critical part of the business and is one of the many reasons why customers choose HackerRank. Making this seem simple to customers means abstracting away the complexities of making systems talk to each other in a scalable and resilient way, and that wouldn’t be possible without a team of skilled engineers.</p> <p>As a Senior Engineer, you’ll play a technical leadership role in designing, building, and supporting world-class integrations. You’ll break down complex business and product challenges into engineering work, partner closely with peers across teams, and deliver solutions that raise the bar for reliability and excellence.</p> <h4><strong>What you’ll do</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Design and deliver high-scale, resilient integrations that power HackerRank’s ecosystem.</li> <li>Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to break down, prioritize, and execute integration work.</li> <li>Support enterprise customers with complex integration needs.</li> <li>Continuously improve HackerRank’s engineering practices and standards.</li> <li>Use AI-powered development tools to accelerate coding, debugging, and automation workflows.</li> </ul> <h4><strong>Who you are</strong></h4> <ul> <li>An experienced engineer with 5+ years in the field, including 4+ years building and maintaining production systems in TypeScript and Node.js.</li> <li>A technical leader with at least a year of experience guiding projects or mentoring teammates.</li> <li>Someone who holds a high bar for code quality, testing, and operational reliability.</li> <li>Comfortable using AI tools like Copilot, Cursor, or ChatGPT to move faster and ship better code.</li> </ul> <h4><strong>Even better if you have</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Run temporal in production, and worked with Nest.js to build reliable, scalable services.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with AWS or similar cloud infrastructure, and familiarity with enterprise integration patterns and ATS platforms.</li> <li>Built internal tooling or automation powered by AI/LLMs to reduce manual effort and improve developer productivity.</li> </ul> <h4><strong>You’ll thrive in this role if</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Designing complex systems excites you, and you deliver impact with every commit.</li> <li>Operational excellence and reliability are principles you care deeply about.</li> <li>Collaboration is second nature, you’ve worked across teams to drive meaningful ...
