Job Title: Sales Manager -Japan
Job Type: Full Time
Reports To: Country GM
Role Purpose: To lead the Cove B2B and B2C sales team, increasing tenant bookings and revenue to drive Cove’s exponential growth in Japan.
What you’ll be doing:
Making tenant bookings as a salesperson
Owning the Cove Japan sales strategy and approach
Regular sales training and development initiatives
Ensuring fast launch and ramp up of new buildings/properties
Working with the supply side team to provide customer insights to support growth of the portfolio
Ensuring fantastic customer experience throughout the sales process
Closely involved in pricing of new rooms and regular re-pricing of existing portfolio
Contract negotiations and renegotiations with tenants
Implementation of rental price increases as required
Leadership of discounts policies to maximize revenue potential
Building relationships and partnerships with property agents and other partners as a source of demand
Leading the growth of the B2B channel to source leads from corporate bookings and partnerships with companies, institutions, and higher education
Ownership of all sales processes, SOPs, and tech tools to ensure the efficiency and maximum effectiveness of the team
What makes you a great fit:
Minimum 3 years of experience in a B2B and/or B2C sales environment
Experience in service apartment, hospitality, or real estate-related sales
Business-level English and Japanese
Bachelor’s degree in any field
Experience using CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)
Some line management or team leadership experience
Experience in sales process design or optimization
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Strong ability to build rapport and trust with customers
Analytical, data-driven, and results-oriented
High customer empathy and ownership mindset

Working Hours:
Standard hours: 9:30 AM–6:30 PM (8 hours actual work)
This is a sales role that requires flexibility. There may be occasions where responding to customer inquiries or leads outside standard hours is necessary to ensure a great customer experience
