About You What you'll do Help translate user interfaces of all Chesscom apps (Chesscom, Chesscom Mobile, ChessKid, ChessKid Mobile, Dr Wolf, etc). Help translate marketing campaigns. Help translate Coach analysis. Translate player profile pages, chess terms, news articles (tournament recaps / important announcements, etc.) Translate & edit graphical assets Review previously submitted translations and ensure they're high quality. Skills Basic graphic editing skills Demonstrated expertise in chess with a deep understanding of its terminology. Proven professional experience in translating complex texts between English and Polish Exceptional linguistic knowledge, including a strong grasp of language theory and structure. Native or near-native fluency in both English and Polish. Excellent communication skills with a high degree of responsiveness and the ability to work effectively on collaborative platforms like Slack. Proven ability to work efficiently and meet tight deadlines, occasionally within a 24-48 hour turnaround time (sometimes including weekends/holidays). Availability to work a flexible hourly schedule, averaging 30 hours per week. About the Opportunity This is an hourly contract opportunity with an estimated 30 hours/week on average. We are 100% remote (work from anywhere!)
