About this role: Fintech Ops owns the critical infrastructure for Faire which processes payments for our partners and customers. Help us scale processing billions of dollars and driving reliability and cost reduction for local businesses. Also, we develop tools and systems to keep the commerce moving when retailers or their suppliers hit snags. What you’ll do: Develop and deliver core features of our Kotlin-based server to enhance the experience for our users. Collaborate with Data Science and Analytics Engineering teams to provide efficient solutions to our users problems. Work to integrate AI into our product where it helps users and into our workflows where it drives efficiency Write integration tests for everything Share ownership of our product Help the product team continuously improve our customer's experience Qualifications: A passion for programming and solving problems A familiarity with OOP languages such as Kotlin, Java or C# A bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent industry experience A love for technology, and an insatiable curiosity for new tools to tackle real problems Technologies we use teach: Kotlin, Java JUnit, Hibernate, Guice, Jersey HTTP, JSON, and Protocol Buffers MySQL, CockroachDB AWS Salary range: Canada: the pay range for this role is $156,000 - $214,500 per year. This role will also be eligible for equity and benefits. Actual base pay will be determined based on permissible factors such as transferable skills, work experience, market demands, and primary work location. The base pay range provided is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Hybrid Faire employees currently go into the office 3 days per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and a third flex day of their choosing (Monday, Wednesday, or Friday). Additionally, hybrid in-office roles will have the flexibility to work remotely up to 4 weeks per year. Specific Workplace and Information Technology positions may require onsite attendance 5 days per week as will be indicated in the job posting.
