Senior Manager, Accounting

Founded in 2016, Verkada has expanded rapidly with 15 offices and 2,200+ full-time employees.</p></div><h3>What You'll Do</h3> <ul> <li>Oversee operational processes and accounting, including cost allocations, fixed assets, cash, prepaid expenses, and other short and long-term assets/liabilities. This includes reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, preparation of disclosure schedules for financial filings, and fluctuation analysis.</li> <li>Manage day-to-day accounting activities to ensure compliance with US GAAP, internal policies, and external audits.</li> <li>Manage the monthly and quarterly close process, ensuring strict adherence to deadlines.</li> <li>Manage the international entity accounting close process for our international entities, including review of local management accounts and record foreign entity transactions</li> <li>Assist leadership with special projects.</li> <li>Collaborate with other Finance and cross-functional teams on monthly close matters and other initiatives.</li> <li>Work on process optimization and automation efforts to improve efficiency and effectiveness on a continuous basis using technology solutions and automation.</li> <li>Work with external consultants, auditors, and internal stakeholders to implement and remediate key controls over financial reporting in preparation for Verkada’s transition to a public company.</li> <li>Participate in other assignments and ad hoc projects as required.</li> </ul> <h3>What You Bring</h3> <ul> <li>8+ years of experience in accounting and/or audit.</li> <li>Big 4 audit firm experience preferred.</li> <li>Worked in a SOX environment.</li> <li>CPA (or equivalent) required.</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related field of study.</li> <li>Experience with high-growth companies, ideally in the Software SaaS.</li> <li>Inventory accounting experience is a plus</li> <li>Strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li> <li>Eagerness to learn and willingness to take on new challenges</li> <li>Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.</li> <li>NetSuite ERP experience is a plus.</li> <li>Strong Microsoft Excel skills.</li> <li style="font-weight: bold;"><strong>Ability to be onsite in our San Mateo HQ office 5 days a week</strong></li> </ul> <h3><strong>Employee Benefits</strong></h3> <p>Verkada is committed to fostering a workplace environment that prioritizes the holistic health and wellbeing of our employees and their families by offering comprehensive wellness perks, benefits, and resources.
