Reporting to the Senior Manager of Indirect Tax, you will play a key role in the accounting team assisting with indirect tax compliance, planning, and strategy. This is a high-impact position that sits at the intersection of tax technology and climate-friendly infrastructure, helping Crusoe navigate complex tax landscapes as we scale our global footprint. What You’ll Be Working On: - Compliance Management: Assist with indirect tax compliance across multiple domains, including Sales and Use tax, VAT, and Property tax. - Research & Incentives: Research and prepare indirect tax incentives and credits for various jurisdictions and large-scale projects. - Audit Defense: Support indirect tax audits and manage refund claims to ensure financial accuracy and recovery. - Transaction Support: Assist with mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and various strategic transactions as needed. - Tax Technology Transformation: Play a pivotal role in technology projects, including establishing tax-related software requirements, testing, and documentation. - Strategic Projects: Support ad-hoc tasks and special projects as requested by the Senior Manager to drive department efficiency. What You’ll Bring to the Team: - Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; a Master’s in Accounting or Tax is highly preferred. - Experience: 3–5 years of indirect tax experience within a large public accounting firm or corporate organization. Experience in the construction or technology industries is a significant advantage. - Licensure: CPA license (or actively seeking a CPA license) is preferred. - Technical Proficiency: Keen attention to detail with high comfort levels in tax software and advanced Microsoft Excel functions. - Professional Attributes: A self-starter with a natural curiosity to learn different types of tax and the motivation to drive process improvements in a fast-paced environment. - Safety and Compliance: This position is designated a safety-sensitive position and/or is located in a safety-sensitive facility. Drug and alcohol program participation is required.
