About the Role: Stylus Medicine is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Senior Research Associate to join our in vivo Pharmacology team. In this role, the Senior Research Associate will perform hands-on in vivo studies utilizing murine oncology and non-oncology models, supporting the advancement of genetic medicines that leverage engineered recombinases delivered through non-viral methods. Working closely with cross-functional teams, this is a unique opportunity to work on the front lines of innovation and contribute to the advancement of transformational therapies. Key Responsibilities Accountabilities: Develop and implement immuno-oncology preclinical anti-tumor efficacy and pharmacodynamic studies to evaluate recombinase-based engineering of immune cells Culture and prepare tumor cells and PBMCs for injections; process samples for downstream analyses to support research objectives Analyze and interpret data and produce study reports to inform project direction Effectively communicate findings to internal teams Adhere to SOPs and IACUC protocols Maintain detailed and accurate laboratory records in compliance with data integrity and documentation standards Qualifications Skills: Master’s degree in Pharmacology, Immunology, Immuno-oncology, or a related field with 1+ years of relevant industry or academic experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of experience Hands-on in vivo pharmacology expertise, including mouse handling, surgical procedures, IV tail vein injection, body weight monitoring, blood collection, tumor model development, tumor growth analysis, and tissue dissociation and processing Demonstrated ability to execute, interpret, and troubleshoot in vivo studies Experience with thawing and infusing T cells, PBMCs, or other immune cell types into mice as well as with culturing tumor cell lines and establishing tumor models in vivo is preferred Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively with teammates in a laboratory setting; curiosity to learn new techniques and multitask effectively Experience maintaining meticulous records, including documenting and maintaining an organized lab notebook, lab inventory, and experimental results Excellent communication skills, with a team-first mindset and the ability to convey technical information Highly collaborative working style and ability to adapt in a fast paced, rapidly developing environment
