<p class="p1">We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our GL Accounting Team. This role is integral to our month-end close process and will take ownership of key technical accounting areas. </p> <p class="p1">As the Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards for accuracy and efficiency. You are detail-oriented and process-driven. This is a critical, hands-on role where you will be directly involved in the success of the month-end close process. </p> <p class="p1">This is a full-time, exempt position <strong>based in our Oakland, California office with a hybrid work schedule</strong>: in office M/W/Th with the option to work from home Tu/Fr.</p> <h3>Getting started</h3> <ul> <li>We’re committed to your success and want you to feel like a part of our team! We’re excited to find ways for you to contribute, and will create room for you to learn and grow along the way.</li> </ul> <h3>In your role, you'll...</h3> <ul> <li>Perform month-end close tasks for key technical areas, including ASC 842 lease accounting, Capitalized Internal-Use Software (IDSW), and stock-based compensation.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></li> <li>Manage and prepare complex accruals, expense allocations, and reconciliations. </li> <li>Prepare and present monthly flux analysis, providing business context and commentary for your areas of ownership. </li> <li>Manage intercompany accounting, including generation of monthly cost-plus bills, and intercompany reconciliations. </li> <li>Drive initiatives to improve processes and build efficiencies in the month-end close to shorten timelines and improve accuracy. </li> <li>Work closely with management to identify internal control gaps and build/implement solutions. </li> <li>Play a critical role in supporting annual audits for both US and UK entities.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></li> <li>Be flexible to tackle new accounting tasks or ad-hoc projects as needed. </li> </ul> <h3>About you</h3> <ul> <li><strong>Experience:</strong> You have at least 3 years of experience in an accounting role, with specific expertise in high volume reconciliations.</li> <li><strong>Operational Mindset:</strong> You are comfortable executing daily tasks with high accuracy and utilize your prioritization skills to meet deadlines.</li> <li><strong>Detail-Oriented & Proactive:</strong> Uphold data integrity by looking beyond the process—proactively identifying, investigating, and resolving irregularities.</li> <li><strong>Process Oriented:</strong> You thrive in a process-driven work environment and look for ways to make workflows more efficient.</li> </ul> <p class="p1"><strong>Pluses</strong></p> <ul> <li>You have experience in Google sheets and Microsoft Excel.</li> <li>You have experience working in a startup environment.</li> <li>Experience with Netsuite, Zip, or Celigo’s Cash Application Module</li> </ul> <p class="p1"><strong>Work Authorization</strong></p> <ul> <li>You are authorized to work in the United States. ...
