Senior Data Engineer

<p>Everlaw is seeking a talented and detail-oriented <strong>Senior</strong> <strong>Data Engineer</strong> with experience in financial and revenue reporting to join our Enterprise Technology team. The <strong>Enterprise Technology team</strong> at Everlaw is an internal, cross-functional team that owns our core business systems and data infrastructure. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions, enabling the finance team to make data-driven decisions. You will leverage your experience with PostgreSQL, Fivetran, dbt (data build tool), Looker, and other modern data tools to build and optimize our data infrastructure and reporting processes.</p> <p>At Everlaw, our mission is to promote justice by illuminating truth. And you’ll spend meaningful time getting to know your direct reports and discover what excites and challenges them.</li> <li><strong>We’re excited for you to learn, grow, and contribute right away!</strong> We trust that you’ll bring experience and knowledge that will uplift and uplevel the team, but we don’t expect you to know everything on Day</li> </ul> <h3>In your role, you'll...</h3> <ul> <li>Design and implement robust data models to support financial and revenue reporting.</li> <li>Build and maintain ETL pipelines to ensure timely and accurate data delivery.</li> <li>Ensure data integrity and security in alignment with organizational and compliance standards.</li> <li>Develop and maintain dashboards and reports in Looker to track key financial and revenue metrics.</li> <li>Collaborate with finance teams to understand reporting requirements and provide actionable insights.</li> <li>Work closely with finance stakeholders, and other cross-functional teams to ensure data consistency and accuracy.</li> <li>Implement data validation and testing processes to ensure accuracy and consistency.</li> <li>Monitor data workflows and troubleshoot issues proactively.</li> </ul> <h3>About you</h3> <ul> <li>8+ years of experience as a BI Engineer, Data Engineer, or in a similar role.</li> <li>Proven expertise in PostgreSQL, including writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with ETL tools like Fivetran.</li> <li>Proficiency with dbt for data transformation and modeling.</li> <li>Proficiency with Looker for building and maintaining dashboards and reports.</li> <li>Experience in financial and revenue reporting is a must.</li> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.</li> <li>Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.</li> <li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple prio ...
