Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.</p></div><h2><strong>About the role</strong></h2> <p>As an Enterprise Account Executive, Financial Services &amp; Insurance based in Tokyo, you'll drive the adoption of safe, frontier AI technology across Japan's financial services and insurance organizations. You'll own the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing, working with senior leaders to help them modernize operations, strengthen risk management, and enhance customer experiences with Anthropic's AI solutions.</p> <h2><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Own and exceed revenue targets by winning new major FSI accounts and expanding existing relationships across Japan's banks, insurers, asset managers, and fintech companies</li> <li>Build and execute territory plans, identifying high-value opportunities across megabanks, regional banks, life and non-life insurers, and diversified financial groups</li> <li>Lead consultative sales processes with senior executives — including CIOs, CDOs, Chief Risk Officers, and compliance leaders — positioning AI as a driver for digital transformation, regulatory compliance, and improved customer experience</li> <li>Orchestrate internal teams (Product, Engineering, Applied AI, Partnerships) to deliver solutions that meet the stringent regulatory, security, and data governance requirements of the FSI sector</li> </ul> <h2><strong>You may be a good fit if you have:</strong></h2> <ul> <li>8+ years of enterprise sales experience in Japan with significant exposure to financial services and insurance accounts, driving adoption of emerging technologies with a consultative, solutions-oriented approach</li> <li>A track record of managing complex, long-cycle sales processes and securing strategic deals with FSI organizations by understanding sector-specific regulatory and compliance frameworks and crafting compliant solutions</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to navigate FSI stakeholder ecosystems, building consensus across IT, risk, compliance, and business operations teams with multiple budget authorities and approval layers</li> <li>Proven experience exceeding revenue targets by effectively managing pipeline across the varying budget cycles and fiscal timelines of large financial institutions</li> <li>A knack for bringing order to chaos and an enthusiastic "roll up your sleeves" mentality — you are a true team player who thrives in ambiguous, startup-like environments</li> <li>A strategic, analytical approach to identifying opportunities within Japan's FSI sector combined with patient, relationship-focused execution</li> <li>A passion for and/or experience with advanced AI systems.
