About the role
This Senior General Accountant role covers a broad range of General Accounting responsibilities for multiple Contentsquare Group entities. The focus is on delivering accurate, compliant, and audit-ready financials across IFRS and local GAAP in a fast-paced, international environment.
What you’ll do
- Day-to-day General Ledger support, including posting journal entries, preparing account reconciliations, and investigating variances to keep the books clean and reliable.
- Active contribution to monthly, quarterly, and year-end close cycles, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with IFRS and local GAAP requirements.
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings, plus hands-on support for statutory audits (coordination of documentation, responses to auditor queries, and issue follow-up).
- Ownership of key balance sheet areas such as prepaid expenses, accruals, and fixed assets, including accurate roll-forwards and strong supporting documentation.
- Contribution to internal and external financial reporting, including clear explanations of movements and data quality checks.
- Cross-functional partnership with FP&A, Legal, HR, and Procurement to ensure accurate inputs and smooth end-to-end processes.
- Participation in continuous improvement initiatives, including process streamlining, control strengthening, and ERP enhancements.
- Support for the implementation, documentation, and ongoing maintenance of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Advanced degree in Accounting (or equivalent).
- 7–10+ years of experience in General Accounting with strong IFRS expertise (UK GAAP exposure is a plus). Experience across both an accounting firm and an in-house corporate environment is highly valued.
- Fluency in English & Polish; another European language is a plus.
- Strong analytical mindset and solid technical accounting skills, with the ability to navigate complexity and translate it into clear actions.
- Proactive, disciplined, and well-organized approach, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment, perform under pressure (especially during close), and meet non-negotiable timelines.
Nice to have
- Experience in Tech / SaaS.
- Advanced Excel skills (VBA a plus).
- Experience with Workday Financials (or another modern ERP).
