In this role, you’ll work closely with the Production Manager to coordinate crews, manage job workflows, control costs, and ensure operational excellence from start to finish.This position is ideal for someone with construction or field operations experience who enjoys balancing people, process, and performance—and who thrives in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.Note: Approximately 80–90% of this role is based in the shop or field environment.What You’ll DoOperations & Production SupportAssist in managing production crews, subcontractors, and field staff, including hiring, coaching, and disciplinary actions as neededMaintain detailed job logs, tracking changes, notes, and progress throughout the lifecycle of each projectEnsure materials are ordered, available, and staged to support timely job completionSupport foremen performance by reviewing job quality, documentation, and adherence to company standardsConduct job site inspections and ensure compliance with OSHA and safety requirementsFacilitate and document monthly safety meetings for employees and subcontractorsCost Control & Financial OversightAssist with tracking labor hours, job budgets, and variances using Excel and internal systemsReview subcontractor invoices for accuracy, duplication, and correct job allocationEnsure all costs are properly approved, coded, and reconciled prior to paymentMonitor vendor charges, gas cards, cell phones, and company credit cards for accuracy and complianceReport and help resolve unusual or excessive chargesAdministrative & Process ManagementReview and submit job documentation to Accounting, including contracts, change orders, permits, photos, and completion paperworkTrack tools and equipment usage, ensuring accountability and proper maintenanceMaintain subcontractor records, including insurance complianceAssist in developing, improving, and implementing operational controls and best practicesSupport change orders, ensuring proper documentation, pricing, and executionCustomer & Team CommunicationAssist in resolving customer concerns and escalations, ensuring leadership visibility and follow-throughCommunicate consistently with crews, foremen, and internal teams to ensure alignment and executionSupport training initiatives for installers and production staffWhat We’re Looking ForExperience & Education3–5 years of experience in construction, production, or operations management OREquivalent combination of education and hands-on industry experienceExperience in plumbing, roofing, siding, windows, gutters, masonry, or related trades preferredSkills & CompetenciesStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneouslySound judgment and decision-making abilityProven ability to motivate and work effectively with field teamsComfortable working with financial data, budgets, and job costingStrong written and verbal communication skillsTechnical SkillsProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet-based systemsComfortable using office equipment and job-tracking toolsPhysical RequirementsAbility to sit, stand, walk, climb ladders, and work in active job site environmentsRegularly lift and carry up to 70+ poundsAbility t ...
