Backend Senior Software Engineer, Monetization Platform

As a Senior Software Engineer at Vanta, you’ll be responsible for setting technical direction to provide a strong foundation for our infrastructure to scale with our business. You will also drive complex projects across our technical stack and mentor our talented engineering team. Your past experience will be leveraged to enable and accelerate Vanta’s growth.Visit our Vanta Engineering Blog to learn more about what our team is working on! What you’ll do as a Senior Software Engineer on the Monetization Platform team at Vanta:The Monetization Platform team at Vanta is building an enterprise-grade revenue and entitlement platform to support our rapid upmarket expansion. These systems form the critical foundation for how customers purchase, access, and manage Vanta's products. We're solving complex technical challenges including data modeling for entitlements, ensuring transactional consistency across integrated financial systems, designing robust API contracts, and implementing metering infrastructure for usage-based billing.As we scale to serve larger enterprises, we face unique engineering challenges in designing flexible systems that can support complex organizational structures, diverse purchasing patterns, and sophisticated partner ecosystems. In this role, you'll provide technical leadership to help architect solutions that seamlessly connect our customer-facing platform with our financial operations, enabling everything from streamlined enterprise procurement to partner-driven distribution models. Your work will establish reliable data flows across our business systems, reduce manual operations, and create scalable infrastructure that supports new commercial models. You'll evaluate integration approaches with financial platforms, build the connective tissue between systems, and ensure data consistency throughout our ecosystem.
