In this role, you will drive the development of end-to-end automated tests, automation frameworks, and tools to have robust automated testing pipelines for the support tools, AI models and troubleshooting products.It is a hands-on role in which you will design and code comprehensive testing frameworks while taking on a technical leadership role, improving the productivity of our Development/Quality Engineering teams and bringing standardization to our processes and practices.This Senior Software Engineer in Test Support Customer Experience role reports to the Director, Customer Experience Engineering, and will be responsible for testing the quality of support’s customer-facing systems that enable Snowflake to provide a world-class customer experience.IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL GET TO:Build, enhance, and maintain automation frameworks utilized by the team to automate critical user scenarios for regression testingDrive quality across all disciplines, providing guidance, feedback, and suggestions to improve quality practices across the Customer Experience Engineering organizationPartner with a project team of engineers and Technical Program Managers to drive quality early and often in the SDLCContribute to technical leadership and strategic direction to continuously improve the Quality Engineering OrganizationAuthor and enhance test plans based on feature requirements and specifications, as well as technical discussions and deep dives with engineersPrioritize and execute test scenarios in a Snowflake environment that’s representative of customers’ schema and workloadsPartner with Support and Customer experience engineering to investigate, troubleshoot and identify/implement fixes for customer-facing issuesON DAY ONE WE WILL EXPECT YOU TO HAVE:6+ years of industry experience in Quality Engineering with hands-on backend and frontend software testing experience, testing frameworks and test automationExperience in performance testingIn-depth knowledge and understanding of standard quality best practices, techniques and methodologies to drive continuous quality improvementsA proven quality leader who can drive quality, identify and mitigate risks and partner with teams to build quality in every phase of the SDLCExperience in designing custom test suites that test complex systems on a big scaleStrong experience writing UI/API smoke, regression, and end-to-end tests to ensure integration points are thoroughly testedProven experience developing comprehensive and effective UI test automation using tools like Playwright, Cypress, PuppeteerHigh proficiency in one of the coding languages: Java / Python / Go / JavaScript / TypeScriptExperience with continuous integration / continuous deployment systems like JenkinsStrong database understanding, including SQLStrong CS fundamentals including OO concepts, data structures, and distributed systemsHigh proficiency in GitWHY JOIN THE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE ENGINEERING TEAM AT SNOWFLAKE?
