Role Overview Coupang Promotion makes discovering and accessing great deals easier for both Coupang customers and Coupang partners to experience value. We see challenges as opportunities, and we are always ready for change and resolving problems. We are looking for passionate hard-core backend software engineers to build large-scale systems, infrastructure to power the Coupang Promotion business from the scratch. This includes working on a greenfield project and building low latency and highly available services, scaling systems, building APIs for programmatic integrations. You will identify and solve hard problems to improve the system scalability, enhance reliability, as well as optimize resource efficiency. Let's create a world in which customers ask, how did I ever live without Coupang together! What You Will Do Design and build a new backend  Promotion Service for vendors and customers. Design and build a new Promotion serving to support business growth. Integrate with the 3rd party solutions that 100% meet Coupang security privacy st and ards. Being a team player to work efficiently with partner teams: Marketplace team, Front-end team, Pricing team, Ads team, etc., in Seoul, Seattle and Shanghai offices. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or electrical/electronic engineering, mathematics or equivalent 5+ years of solid work with fundamental algorithms, system design, and large distributed systems 7+ years of coding experience in one of the following: Java, C++, Golang, C# Self-starter and innovator who likes to solve complex problems Preferred Qualifications Promotion al system development experience is a big plus Demonstrates broad knowledge of technical solutions, design patterns, and code for medium/complex applications deployed in big data area: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Hive Proficiency in Spring framework Good English listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills Recruitment Process and Others Recruitment Process Application Review - Phone Interview - Onsite (or Virtual Onsite) Interview – Offer The exact nature of the recruitment process may vary according to the specific job and may be changed due to scheduling or other circumstances.
