Senior Director, Compliance Data Privacy/ Cloud Service Compliance

Role Overview We are seeking an experienced compliance professional to lead Coupang’s Data Privacy, Information Security, and Cloud Service compliance programs. Recognizing that full mastery across all domains is rare, we welcome candidates who demonstrate deep specialization in either (1) Data Privacy Information Security or (2) Cloud Service Compliance. This leader will oversee compliance strategy, certification readiness, monitoring frameworks, and cross-functional alignment to ensure our cloud, data, and security environments meet applicable regulatory and industry standards. What You Will Do - Lead the development and execution of compliance strategies across data privacy, information security, and/or cloud service compliance - Conduct compliance gap analyses and drive remediation plans - Build and maintain compliance monitoring checklists - Design and sustain administrative, technical, and physical security compliance programs - Partner with engineering, security, privacy, legal, and product teams - Oversee compliance management for Coupang Intelligent Cloud Service. - Provide executive-level updates on compliance posture - Analyze regulatory changes and integrate requirements - Mentor and develop a high-performing compliance team Basic Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of relevant experience - Deep specialization in either Data Privacy Information Security or Cloud Service Compliance - Experience identifying and remediating compliance issues - Experience developing compliance monitoring checklists - Technical proficiency in cloud, security, or privacy frameworks - Strong stakeholder communication skills Preferred Qualifications Data Privacy Information Security Track: - Extensive experience in data privacy compliance - Strong knowledge of security controls - Experience with K-ISMS-P, ISO 27001/27701 Cloud Service Compliance Track: - Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or similar platforms - Understanding of cloud compliance architectures - Experience with certifications such as CSAP Recruitment Process Application Review - Phone Interview - Onsite (or Virtual Onsite) Interview – Offer Details to Consider This job posting may close early if all openings are filled.
