As a Test Engineering Intern you will play a key role in moving our test engineering forward at a groundbreaking climate technology startup, working closely with Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical and Test engineers. If you are looking for a project-based summer internship in which you'll get hands on experience, this is the role for you!
This is a full time, Summer opportunity at our research and development facility in Berkeley, California.
Pay rate: $25 per hour, plus up to $400 in travel reimbursement for those relocating from outside of the Bay Area.
What You’ll Do Here
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot Aircapture test equipment and machines to evaluate design changes, validate hardware, and pursue continuous improvement through Design of Experiments (DOE)
Write and execute test plans and test reports to support Aircapture’s engineering efforts
Create documentation packages for new and ongoing Aircapture projects
Conduct exploratory data analysis and investigation to identify trends, optimize our DAC machines, and support test results
Partner with the data analysis team to develop new data pathways for visualization and modeling
Your Skills and Abilities Include
Completed Junior year or equivalent studying Mechanical Engineering or a related field by Summer 2026
Experience with developing and carrying out test plans or procedures
Experience with data analysis and visualization
Basic understanding of engineering concepts such as thermodynamics, chemistry, and power systems
Ability to work proactively, manage a diverse workload, and effectively present and communicate technical information
Hands-on machine shop experience a plus
