About the role D-Wave is seeking a Senior Software Developer in Test to help ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our quantum computing cloud platform. In this role, you will work closely with software, application, and DevOps teams to test, automate, monitor, and deploy our cutting-edge quantum computing services. Your primary focus will be the Leap cloud platform, contributing across the full development lifecycle, from requirements review through implementation, while developing both manual and automated tests, advancing performance testing, and improving CI/CD automation and test infrastructure. This role offers exposure to the full quantum computing stack, from client-facing applications to the classical systems that drive the QPU. You will help shape the quality strategy for the platform and directly influence the reliability and scalability of our products. What you'll do Quality Strategy & Test Design Define and execute validation strategies aligned with product architecture, risk, and customer impact Translate product requirements and business goals into comprehensive test plans and cases Improve quality standards, test coverage, and risk-based validation approaches Provide architectural and design guidance to development teams to improve testability and reliability Automation & Test Infrastructure Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks across UI, API, and service layers Build scalable test infrastructure to validate both new and existing features Maintain strong automated regression coverage Continuously improve the performance, reliability, and maintainability of test suites CI/CD & Cloud Quality Engineering Integrate automated validation into CI/CD workflows to support fast, reliable releases Design and implement quality gates within deployment pipelines Partner with development and DevOps teams to improve build, release, and deployment processes Operational Excellence Report, triage, and track defects through resolution, including root-cause analysis Participate in production incident investigations and implement preventative safeguards Improve system reliability through test-driven feedback loops About you Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience 4+ yea ...
