This role is a full-time, 3-6+ month consultant contract focused on the critical task of integrating our large-scale compute loads into the North American power grid. About This Role: As a Senior Consultant, Load Interconnection, you will play a critical role in expanding our energy infrastructure and integrating our large-load facilities into the electric grid. You will be a key individual contributor, focusing on the complex challenges of connecting and optimizing our operations within the MISO and PJM RTOs. This position requires deep technical expertise in power systems and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will navigate the regulatory and technical hurdles of load deliverability to ensure our data centers have the high-capacity, reliable power required for AI and high-performance computing. (#INDCORP) What You’ll Be Working On: - Grid Integration Studies: Perform and support comprehensive grid integration studies for large-load facilities within MISO and PJM. - Transmission Injection & Deliverability: Manage transmission injection processes and perform load deliverability studies to ensure grid stability and capacity. - POI Strategy: Strategize Points of Interconnection (POIs) based on evolving business needs and changing regulatory requirements. - Knowledge Leadership: Contribute to the technical development of the team, sharing expertise and best practices in grid integration and ISO/RTO navigation. - Cross-Functional Support: Work with internal teams to draft technical specifications and support Business Development on the technical aspects of project proposals. - Regulatory Navigation: Identify POIs that best suit our business development needs while staying ahead of grid code compliance and transmission topology changes. What You'll Bring to the Team: - Education: Master’s degree in Power Systems with 3+ years of experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in power systems. - Technical Expertise: Deep experience in grid planning, system modeling, and grid code compliance studies. - ISO/RTO Mastery: Strong working knowledge of MISO/PJM transmission topology and load interconnection methodologies. - Strategic Thinking: Ability to think outside the box to identify POIs that offer the best path to interconnection for la ...
