What You’ll Do About the Role As a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) you will work directly with our customers, embedding inside their AI teams to help them build and deploy successful AI agents with the WB Weave developer toolkit. This is a hands-on, customer-facing engineering role—ideal for someone who thrives in high- impact environments, enjoys solving open-ended technical problems, and wants to shape how the world’s leading organizations build with AI. Responsibilities Embed inside customer AI engineering teams to design, prototype, and productionize AI agents using WB Weave. Act as a trusted technical advisor, helping customers make architectural decisions and best practices for agentic workflows. Develop reference implementations, demos, and example projects that showcase effective use of WB Weave. Gather and relay feedback from the field to influence the WB Weave product roadmap and improve the AI developer experience. Conduct technical workshops, deep dives, and enablement sessions to accelerate customer adoption. Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges in customer environments Who You Are Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering, ML engineering, or applied AI roles. Strong proficiency in Python and experience with modern ML/AI frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face). Hands-on experience building, deploying, or operating LLM-powered applications or AI agents in production environments. Experience with agent orchestration frameworks or tooling (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, custom orchestration systems). Demonstrated experience working directly with customers in technical consulting, solutions engineering, or forward-deployed roles. Ability to design and implement end-to-end systems, from prototype through production deployment. Preferred Experience building or supporting production ML/AI systems at scale. Familiarity with vector databases, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), or reinforcement learning workflows. Prior experience in forward deployed engineering, field engineering, or solutions architecture roles. The starting salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. We strive for both market alignment and internal equity when determining compensation. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package includes a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits program (all based on eligibility).
