Senior Software Engineer (Backend)

This role is based in Pune and requires you to work from office at least 3 days a week What you could get to do every day: Communicate and collaborate with a team of engineers who care about the product and code to provide simple, sophisticated solutions to complex technical problems. Use sound methodologies at every stage of the development cycle including technical design, pair programming, peer code review, documenting, testing, and continuous integration. Collaborating with product management, and engineers to design beautifully simple solutions to complicated problems. You will be relied on from concept through development, QA, staging, and production deployment. Ensuring delivery on commitments. It is your responsibility to ensure code quality, debug code, and seek guidance to unblock tasks pending. Following best practices in all our frameworks and tools. Championing best practices and proper test coverage. We ship code frequently and fast, but stability and reliability must never be compromised. Actively participate in code reviews and design discussions Partner across all areas of the SDLC, including requirements gathering, and building services and solutions. Work across teams and organization boundaries to standardize and integrate services, new libraries, tools, and workflows Share the responsibility of maintaining the systems built by the team. What we’d love you to have: Proficiency in one or more backend programming languages - Java, Ruby on Rails, Python, Golang, NodeJS, Typescript, Scala etc. Prior hands on experience of effective AI tools assisting in developer productivity Fast learner with at least 8 years of hands-on coding experience. Experience leading the design, development, and implementation of software solutions. Experience with unit testing and test-driven development. Eagerness to work with team members of various experiences and skill sets. Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Someone who is self-motivated, has strong collaboration skills and enjoys working with others to get the desired outcome Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think on your feet and lead discussions.
