The Data Center Manufacturing Engineering team is seeking a Materials and Deployment Intern to support materials planning, deployment activities, and cross ‑ functional coordination. This role provides hands ‑ on exposure to supply chain operations, inventory management, and deployment planning within a fast ‑ paced manufacturing environment.
The intern will work closely with multiple stakeholders, including internal teams and customers while contributing to process improvements aligned with business unit strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Maintain and update materials and deployment reports, dashboards, and tools using information from multiple stakeholders
Provide project planning support, including data collection, tracking, and reporting
Support SKU definition and alignment with internal customer and supplier requirements
Collect and track customer and supplier orders
Monitor inventory transactions and material movements
Create, maintain, and update ramp plans to support production needs
Coordinate and support build plans across teams
Oversee and track shipments to ensure timely deployment
Participate in process development, continuous improvement initiatives, and innovation efforts aligned with business unit strategies

As a Materials and Deployment Intern, you will gain hands ‑ on experience in data center manufacturing and supply chain operations, including:
Fundamentals of materials planning, deployment, and inventory management in a manufacturing environment
How to support SKU definition, ramp planning, and build planning processes
Exposure to cross ‑ functional collaboration with manufacturing, supply chain, planning, customers, and suppliers
Practical experience maintaining and analyzing reports, dashboards, and deployment tools
Understanding of order management, inventory transactions, and shipment tracking
Experience contributing to process improvements, automation, and operational efficiencies aligned with business unit strategies
Development of project planning, problem ‑ solving, and communication skills in a real ‑ world engineering and operations setting
Insight into how data ‑ driven decisions support large ‑ scale data center manufacturing and deployment
Candidate must be willing to work at least 30 hours
Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.
Minimum Qualifications:
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. (at least 1 year remaining as an active student).
3 months of experience in at least one of the following:
Data analysis
Working tools (Python scripting/Excel/Power BI, Pivot Tables, graphs and statistical formulas).
Advanced English level.
Must have unrestricted, permanent right to work in Mexico (this role is not eligible for visa or immigration sponsorship).
Preferred Qualifications:
Programming skills.
Software development experience.
