We are dedicated to cultivating an equitable and inclusive environment that embraces our differences, and supports and celebrates all of our team members.</span></p></div><p><strong>What you’ll do:</strong></p> <ol> <li>Lead the hardware and software integration and development tests for the high performance aerospace power electronics (DC-DC, DC-AC, AC-DC) products</li> <li>Responsible to specify, design, and perform testing of electrical aspects of product modules and boards implemented in airborne power conversion and distribution systems</li> <li>Clearly define test plans and procedures, perform test cases and generate test reports for board/module bring-up, design verification and system integration, and support other tests including end-of-line, environmental / electrical stress and safety-of-flight</li> <li>Lead tester designs from conception into production while working with cross-functional teams. Start to finish ownership of tester hardware to characterize / validate features, functions and performance of complex high voltage converters – from specification to design, build, manufacturing, and operation</li> <ol> <li>Create development test cases for modules and boards</li> <li>Tester design, covering both hardware and software needs</li> <li>Test station build, bring-up, troubleshoot, operation and maintenance</li> <li>Test station data consolidation, visualization, review and analysis</li> </ol> <li>Conduct failure analysis of the modules / boards to understand the root cause and lead the cross-functional team effort to identify the resolutions</li> <li>Support flight test data review and analysis for airborne power electronics products</li> <li>Drive continuous design and performance improvement of power electronics products, and provide constructive and accurate feedbacks to the teams</li> </ol> <p><strong>What you need:</strong></p> <ul> <li>BS Degree in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years or MS with 1+ years of experience in related fields</li> <li>Sound knowledge and hands-on experience in integration and testing of high voltage power electronics converters, mixed signal boards, and power / gate drive boards</li> <li>Good understanding of power electronics components and modules, including power semiconductors, gate drivers, magnetic components (transformers, inductors), passive components, connectors, device characterization, converter topologies (DC-DC, DC-AC, AC-DC), mechanical packaging, thermal management, modulation techniques, and control methods</li> <li>Experience converting requirements and schematics into test plans with pass / fail criteria</li> <li>Familiarity with automated test station hardware and software tools (e.g. NI, Labview)</li> <li>Master of all types of lab instruments: power supplies, oscilloscope, signal generators, network analyzer, electronic loads, CAN tools, etc.</li> <li>Experience performing the design and build of test stations</li> <li>Experience managing vendors that are performing the design and build of test stations</li> <li>Experience performing power electronics board and module bring-up and design verification test</li> <li>Experience on root cause analysis of power converter module / board failures</li> <li>Exceptional analytical problem solving skills for complex hardware / software and attention to details</li> <li>Excellent organizational and commun ...
