customer engineer turbopuffer is looking for someone to help our customers succeed. what you'll do: - debug customer issues, optimize queries - write examples for our docs - live in customer slack channels, helping to solve problems - own customer outcomes must have: - typist - you can write well and can explain complex ideas simply - linux - you're comfortable in terminals and reading logs - python or javascript/typescript - for reproducing issues and building solutions - human - you build trust and keep things productive when everything's on fire - systematic - you methodically work through problems until you've found the root cause nice to have: - k8s experience - vector search or full-text search background - experience with the major cloud platforms values we live by: - overstep > understep - correctness > simplicity > performance - customer traces > first principles > hunches - show > tell
