ABOUT THE ROLE Mission: Build the scalable backend engine that powers Backup Posture and the Detection Engine. We are seeking a self-sufficient Senior Backend Engineer with extensive experience to join our team. You will take ownership of critical architectural components and lead initiatives, guiding and collaborating with mid-level engineers. You will own the data highways and the logic layer, ensuring our platform processes telemetry from thousands of assets efficiently. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES - Technical Leadership: Lead backend initiatives and provide technical guidance to mid-level engineers, driving high standards in code quality and architecture. - Backup Posture Logic: Build the core logic for the "Overview Dashboard" — calculating Health Scores, RTO/RPO violations, and Aggregated Statuses across AWS/Azure/Veeam. - Data Pipelines & Ingestion: Architect the server-side ingestion pipelines that receive data from collectors (On-prem/Cloud). - Detection Engine Integration: Build the "serving layer" for the AI models — running the detection jobs, managing queues, and exposing the results (Misconfigurations) via REST APIs. - Platform Engineering: Ensure the backend supports multi-tenancy, RBAC (Azure AD), and high availability. REQUIREMENTS - 5+ years of hands-on programming in Python, Node.js, or Go (you know one well, and you’re comfortable picking up the others). - 3+ years working with AWS, Kubernetes, and RDS (you know your way around cloud-native deployments, scaling, and persistence). - Significant experience building data-intensive applications and designing APIs for frontend and external consumers. - Cyber Security B2B SaaS: Proven experience in Cyber Security B2B SaaS startups is highly preferred. - Technical Leadership: Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring engineers. - Startup Experience - a plus.
