Product Lead

Product Lead YOUR ROLE As our founding Product Lead, you will run the day-to-day execution of Overtone’s product—turning insight into action and vision into shipped reality. You’ll translate research, design, and strategy into clear product direction, coordinate closely with engineering, and ensure the core experience moves forward with momentum and integrity. You will be a close thought partner to the CEO, helping shape product decisions while owning the operational rigor required to build a high-quality, trust-centered product in an early-stage environment. What You’ll Do - Product execution: Own the day-to-day product workflow: defining requirements, documenting specs, prioritizing tickets, and ensuring work ships cleanly. Scope will span across core experience, matching / algorithms, and trust & safety. - Insight integration: Collect and synthesize insights from research, user feedback, and data—translating them into concrete product decisions and iterations. - CEO partnership: Serve as a close product thought partner to the CEO—pressure-testing ideas, surfacing tradeoffs, and helping find the best path forward. - Design coordination: Partner closely with design (including conversation design) to shape flows and interactions, ensuring they are meeting the needs of daters. - Engineering unblocker: Work hand-in-hand with engineering to clarify intent, resolve ambiguity, and remove obstacles so the team can move quickly and confidently. - Risk & trust alignment: Collaborate with Head of Risk to ensure compliance, safety, privacy, and accessibility are built into product decisions from the start. Who You Are - Strong experience as a product manager on consumer-facing products, ideally in mobile or service-oriented contexts - A track record of shipping complex products by translating ambiguity into clear plans and execution - Comfort operating at the intersection of research, design, engineering, and risk - Experience working in early-stage or fast-moving environments, where process serves progress, not the other way around - The ability to think strategically while staying deeply hands-on COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Salary of $180k to $220k. This position will receive meaningful stock options with considerable upside potential.
