What You’ll Do:
In the Electrical Test Engineer role, you will own the electrical testing of printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) for Archer’s high voltage battery management system (BMS) hardware. Your deliverables will span all phases of the product development life cycle: development, implementation, validation, and certification.
Specifically, you will…
Work closely with hardware engineers and software developers to bring up new PCBA functionalities in the lab
Develop requirements for PCBA level test stands along with detailed instrumentation
Work hands-on in the lab to set up equipment and instrumentation as-needed
Define test methodologies for environmental, functional, and safety verification of BMS electronic hardware and associated sensing electronics
Perform requirements based electrical verification tests on BMS electronic hardware
Complete reliability and certification tests on BMS electronic hardware
Investigate and lead PCBA circuit level failure analysis to determine root cause and drive product improvements
What You Need:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
3+ years of experience in testing electronic systems against detailed requirements
Hands-on experience in prototype bring-up, debugging and functional verification
Experience developing detailed test procedures to verify requirements for electronic hardware
Knowledge of schematic design and PCB layout
Familiarity with microcontroller peripheral interfaces, including SPI, CAN, UART
Familiar with lab equipment such as oscilloscope, logic analyzer, soldering tools, crimp tools
Experience with signal processing and analysis
Experience debugging test incidents and performing root cause failure analyses
Knowledge of design assurance and verification methodologies per DO-254 or ISO 26262
Excellent organization and communication skills
Collaborative mindset, willingness to step in and support where needed
Bonus Qualifications:
Experience with new product development in regulated industries (e.g., aviation, medical devices)
Experience with reliability testing on high voltage systems
Experience with ISO 26262, ISO 15118, or DO-160G standards

We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company’s business strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between $144,000 - $198,000. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
