IT Operations Manager, Corporate Engineering

Vanta has a kind and talented team, and while some have prior security experience, many have been successful at Vanta without it. As an IT Operations Manager for EMEA at Vanta, you will lead and scale a high-performing regional IT Operations team while partnering closely with global peers to deliver a secure, reliable, and thoughtful technology experience for employees across the company. Reporting to the Senior Director of Corporate Engineering, this role is responsible for people leadership, regional execution, and operational excellence across EMEA.You’ll manage an initial team of two IT Operations Engineers in EMEA and will be responsible for hiring, developing, and retaining talent as the region grows. While this role is primarily focused on people leadership and operational strategy, the ideal candidate is comfortable staying close to the work and stepping in when needed—whether to unblock the team, support a critical incident, or help drive clarity in ambiguous situations.The Corporate Engineering (CE) team is an employee-facing team with a mission to provide Vantan’s with a secure and stellar experience with the tools and technologies they need to do their best work, regardless of where they are.This role will be the first point of contact for our international Vantan’s and ensure that every Vantan gets the support they need regardless of their timezone.What you’ll do as a IT Operations Manager at Vanta:Hire, manage, mentor, and develop IT Operations Engineers across EMEA, providing regular feedback, coaching, and performance managementFoster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team culture aligned with Vanta’s valuesOwn IT Operations delivery across EMEA, ensuring consistent, high-quality support for employees in the regionPartner with global IT Operations leaders to maintain consistency across regions while accounting for local needsServe as an escalation point for complex or high-impact IT issues in EMEADefine and improve IT processes, workflows, and policies to support scale, security, and reliabilityUse data and operational metrics to identify gaps, improve service quality, and inform resourcing decisionsLead or contribute to global IT initiatives, rollouts, and tooling decisionsBuild strong partnerships with People, Workplace, Security, Finance, and regional leadership teamsAct as a trusted advisor on employee technology needs and regional operational considerationsCommunicate clearly and proactively with stakeholders on priorities, risks, and progressHow to be successful in this role:Demonstrated experience managing and scaling IT or enterprise engineering teamsStrong people leadership skills with a proven ability to coach, develop, and retain talentSolid understanding of IT operations fundamentals (end-user support, access management, device lifecycle, SaaS administration)Experience operating in globally distributed teams and across multiple time zonesAbility to balance regional autonomy with global alignmentStrong communication skills and comfort working with senior stakeholdersExperience building processes and teams in high-growth environmentsComfort making decisions with incomplete information and evolving prioritiesAbility to work in our London office in a hybrid setting (3 days per week)Open to using AI to amplify their skills and strengthen their work - demonstrating curiosity, a willingness to learn, and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact.What you can expect as a Vanta’n:Industry-competitive salary and equity100% covered medical, dental, and vision benefits with dependents coverage16 weeks paid Parental Leave for all new parents Health & wellness stipendRemote workspace, internet, and mobile phone stipendCommuter benefits for team members who ...
