If you are passionate about making an impact on the health of others, join us and make it happen!</div></div><h2><strong>Overview of the Role:</strong></h2> <p><strong>Pelago is seeking a mission-driven, board-certified psychiatrist with deep expertise in Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment to join our clinical team.</strong> In this role, you'll provide direct member care via telehealth, delivering evidence-based psychiatric treatment to help individuals overcome addiction and achieve lasting recovery.</p> <p>This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in digital SUD care delivery, working with cutting-edge telemedicine technology to reach members who need specialized psychiatric support. You'll be part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team dedicated to transforming addiction treatment through innovative, accessible care.</p> <p><strong>This is a remote and part-time role, averaging approximately 10 hours per week, open to candidates located in the United States</strong>. Multi-state licensure is strongly preferred.</p> <h2><strong>In this role you will…</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Provide comprehensive psychiatric care to Pelago members via virtual visits, including thorough assessments, diagnosis, and medication management for SUD and co-occurring conditions.</li> <li>Prescribe and monitor Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), including naltrexone, Suboxone, and other evidence-based pharmacotherapies, in close collaboration with our member operations team.</li> <li>Address concurrent mental health issues, such as mild to moderate anxiety, depression, sleep disorders, and other conditions frequently found with SUD.</li> <li>Collaborate with counselors, coaches, and member operations to deliver optimized, coordinated care that enhances the member experience and supports recovery.</li> <li>Contribute to clinical excellence through participation in case reviews, journal clubs, grand rounds, and peer reviews to maintain high-quality, evidence-based care.</li> <li>Develop personalized treatment plans and offer referrals based on clinical assessments and individual member needs.</li> <li>Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation, supporting quality assurance and compliance efforts to ensure the best patient outcomes.</li> <li>Educate patients in a way that is tailored to their unique needs, abilities, and recovery goals.</li> <li>Collaborate on cross-functional projects with counselor, growth, and product teams to improve care delivery and member outcomes.</li> <li>Help refine and implement clinical protocols, treatment standards, and policies to enhance overall care quality.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>The background we are looking for…</strong></h2> <ul> <li><strong>Board-certified Psychiatrist (MD or DO) with significant expertise in treating Substance Use Disorder.</strong></li> <li><strong>Active licensure in at least one U.S. state</strong>; multi-state licensure strongly preferred.
