Our 3D maps predict how gold, silver, copper, etc. are distributed (and how much!) using only small amounts of data, unconventional data processing, and proprietary ML protocols. Our work directly affects how much money a mine is going to make next week/month/year while reducing waste/cost. We\'re supported by Founders Fund, Aramco, Builders VC, Y Combinator, and Ilya Sutskever, former Chief Scientist at OpenAI, who have recognized the potential of our industry-disrupting technology. We\'re at an inflection point where mining companies are coming to us, and we need a skilled Full-Stack Engineer to help prioritize features and drive our product roadmap!Role OverviewWe are looking for a self-driven Full-Stack Engineer to join our Platform team. This role focuses on developing and enhancing our web-based dashboard platform where mining companies upload data, visualize 3D resource models, and access our AI-generated insights. You will be responsible for both frontend user interfaces and backend systems that power our platform, ensuring seamless data flow from mining operations to our AI models and back to our clients. This position requires strong expertise in both frontend and backend technologies, with experience in building data-intensive web applications. This is a remote-first position, with a preference for applicants based in Canada.Key ResponsibilitiesFrontend:Develop and maintain our web-based dashboard that serves as the primary interface between clients and our AI technologyCreate intuitive data upload interfaces supporting CSV and customizable formats for mining datasetsImplement interactive 3D visualizations of block models with xyz coordinates and predicted valuesBuild responsive, user-friendly dashboards that display model results, analytics, and performance metricsEnsure compatibility with mining industry software (Leapfrog, Geovia GEMS, Vulcan, etc.)Optimize interfaces for real-time access from both site and corporate locationsBackend: Design and develop RESTful APIs and services that connect our frontend with AI models Implement secure data storage and processing pipelines on AWSCreate efficient systems for model delivery on weekly to monthly update schedulesDevelop version control and data exchange mechanisms within our SAIGE platformIntegrate with our proprietary deep learning systems to present results through the dashboardImplement monitoring systems to track model quality and performance over timeGeneral:Collaborate with ML engineers, mining experts, and product teams to develop features that address client needsParticipate in code reviews and ensure high-quality implementation Identify opportunities for performance optimization and technical improvementsDocument systems for knowledge sharing and maintenanceCommunicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersTechnical Competencies & Requirements 5+ years of experience in full-stack web developmentStrong proficiency in frontend technologies:JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks (React preferred)HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principlesDemonstrated backend development capabilities:Experience with cloud platforms (AWS)Knowledge of database systems (SQL and NoSQL)Familiarity with RESTful API design and implementationExperience building web applications that handle complex data visualizationUnderstanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practicesAbility to work with development teams to integrate frontend with ML systemsTechnical communication skills - able to explain complex systems to non-technical stakeholdersExperience with version control systems (Git)Demonstrated ability to frame technical problems within business/domain contextsAbility to solve real-world problems in industries outside your professional domainNice to Have Experience with 3D visualization or geospatial data Experience with data v ...
