Systems Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Administrator to manage and maintain our hybrid infrastructure environment. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in both Windows and Linux systems, cloud technologies, identity management solutions, and security compliance. As a space industry company pursuing government contracts, we require professionals who understand the critical importance of security, compliance, and operational excellence in regulated environments.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and maintain production server environments, ensuring maximum uptime and performanceAdminister Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) including user provisioning, group policies, and conditional access policiesConfigure and manage Gusto/Entra ID integration for automated employee onboarding and off-boarding workflowsAdminister on-premises Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) infrastructure, including domain controllers, Group Policy, and DNSDesign, implement, and maintain PKI infrastructure using Step CA or similar certificate authority solutionsSupport and troubleshoot Windows Server and Linux systems across physical and virtual environmentsManage virtualization platforms including Proxmox, VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, or similar technologiesAdminister and maintain TrueNAS storage systems, including configuration, performance optimization, and capacity planningDeploy, configure, and manage ManageEngine solutions for IT operations, asset management, and service desk functionsImplement and maintain comprehensive backup and disaster recovery solutions with documented procedures and regular testingMonitor system performance and respond to alerts and incidentsAutomate routine tasks using PowerShell, Bash, and Python scriptingWorking knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, and other core servicesCollaborate with development and operations teams to support application deploymentsMaintain comprehensive documentation of systems, processes, and proceduresImplement and maintain security controls in accordance with NIST 800-171, CMMC, and other relevant compliance frameworksEnsure systems meet government security requirements and support audit activitiesProvide technical guidance and support to junior team membersRequired QualificationsMust-Have Skills:Production Server Experience: Proven track record managing mission-critical production environments with high availability requirementsEntra ID Administration: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) administration, including identity governance, conditional access, and hybrid identity scenariosActive Directory Domain Services (AD DS): Extensive experience deploying and managing AD DS, including forest/domain design, Group Policy management, and integration with cloud identity servicesWindows/Linux Expertise: Advanced proficiency in both Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Linux distributions (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS)Scripting & Automation: Demonstrated experience with PowerShell and Bash scripting for automation and system managementVirtual Machine Experience: Solid experience with virtualization technologies such as Proxmox, VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, or AWS EC2Storage Administration: Experience managing enterprise storage solutions such as TrueNAS or similar NAS/SAN platformsSecurity & Compliance: Understanding of security best practices and experience implementing controls for regulated environmentsAdditional RequirementsBachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience5+ years of systems administration experience, preferably in regulated industries (aerospace, defense, or government contracting)Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs)Experience with monitoring and alerting toolsExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong communication skills and ability to work in a team environmentAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple prioritiesCommitment t ...
