Read more about Charge at the links below:Fast Company – Solar Building Robots to Solve One of Climate's Biggest ProblemsMIT News – Making solar projects cheaper and faster with portable factoriesYouTube – full video of our Gen1 robots building a solar farmAbout the role:As a Senior Electrical Engineer at Charge Robotics, you'll be designing and implementing the electrical systems that power our robotic factory, playing a direct role in deploying gigawatts of clean power generation.What you'll be working on:Designing, testing, and validating electrical systems including power distribution, control circuits, and signal conditioning for our robotic factorySelecting and integrating motors, motor drives, sensors, actuators, PLCs, and other electrical/electronic components to meet system requirements for reliability and performanceCreating electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and harness designs while establishing standards for electrical documentation and best practicesTroubleshooting electrical issues in factory and field deployments, working closely with mechanical and software teams to ensure seamless system integrationYou:Have strong experience in electrical engineering with hands-on skills in power systems, control systems, and industrial automationCan read and create electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams, and are proficient with CAD tools for electrical designHave experience specifying and integrating electrical components (motors, drives, sensors, relays, PLCs) and understand electrical codes and safety standardsHave worked in a fast-paced startup environment before, and loved itAre excited to work with (and occasionally safely climb into) giant robotsHave excellent written and verbal communication skillsAre based in or can relocate to the SF Bay Area, and able to work 4-5 days/week from our San Leandro HQGain satisfaction from personally playing a part in mitigating climate changeAre excited to see your work deployed onto actual solar farms!It'd also be nice if you:Have experience with high-power electrical systems, motion control, or industrial roboticsHave a 4-year degree in electrical engineering or a related fieldAre familiar with Python or other programming languages for testing and automation
