You’ll define how mobile fits into iwoca’s product landscape, starting with Credit Cards, and ensure it becomes a reliable, extensible channel for customers over time. The team Today, iwoca’s customer experience is primarily web-based. This role establishes mobile as a first-class product surface, with its own strategy, architecture, and delivery model, integrated with iwoca’s existing platforms and regulatory requirements. You’ll work closely with product, engineering, compliance, and marketing as mobile becomes part of how iwoca serves customers day to day. The role As Mobile App Product Lead, you’ll own the direction and delivery of iwoca’s mobile app. You’ll set the product vision, decide priorities, and build the team needed to deliver it. You’ll operate with clear ownership and accountability, using data and defined outcomes to guide decisions, with visibility across the company and direct impact on customer engagement, retention, and lifetime value. The work involves navigating real uncertainty and trade-offs as the product and team take shape. You will be the primary decision-maker for the mobile channel, accountable for its direction, trade-offs, and outcomes, exercising technical judgement in native mobile and backend contexts in close collaboration with engineering; - Product strategy and roadmap: Own and champion the end-to-end vision, strategy, and roadmap for the mobile app, starting with Credit Cards. Define the product release phases, prioritising early customer and business value while setting foundations for scale, informed by customer research, market context, and competitor analysis. - Team design and leadership: Design, build, and lead a mobile app team covering iOS, Android, and backend integration. Set clear ownership, delivery standards, and expectations, and support the team’s development as it scales. - Execution and delivery: Oversee the full product lifecycle, from concept and design through development, launch, and post-launch optimisation. Establish, track, and actively use core product metrics to guide prioritisation and iteration. - Cross-functional delivery: Work closely with product, engineering, compliance, and marketing to ensure the app integrates cleanly with existing platforms. - Quality, security, and compliance: Ensure the application meets required standards for security, regulatory compliance, performance, and reliability. Evaluate, onboard, and manage external development partners where appropriate, ensuring quality and timely delivery. - AI-enabled building & prototyping: You won't just write specs; you will lead by example in our AI-native transition. You will leverage AI coding assistants and LLMs to personally build functional prototypes, ship smaller production features, or automate internal workflows.
