Team mission As a Senior Accountant, you will own key reconciliation and reporting processes and ensure high-quality financial data across systems—from transaction-level detail through to month-end deliverables. Partnering closely with different Accounting teams, FPA, and Finance IT, you’ll help keep our financial engine running reliably by solving root causes, improving processes, and strengthening documentation and controls. Your mission Own and drive complex reconciliations across multiple systems and data sources, investigating variances and resolving breaks end-to-end. Manage large volumes of financial data, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and strong auditability. Perform detailed account analysis and prepare clear documentation that supports month-end close, internal controls, and external audit requirements. Partner closely with FPA, Accounting and our Finance IT Teams to ensure accurate financial outcomes, smooth processes, and strong cross-functional alignment. Deep-dive into system and ledger details (SAP S/4 Hana and other reporting tools) to identify root causes, improve data integrity, and streamline workflows. Contribute to month-end and year-end close activities, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, balance sheet substantiation, and roll-forwards where relevant. Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and control enhancements to increase efficiency and reduce risk. Support ad-hoc analyses and projects that require strong accounting judgment, structured problem solving, and clear communication. Your toolkit 5+ years of relevant accounting experience (e.g., in-house accounting, audit, advisory, or a mix), with a track record of owning complex topics independently. Strong accounting fundamentals and the ability to apply them to real-world, high-volume environments. Demonstrated experience with complex reconciliations, data investigation, and working across multiple systems to trace transactions end-to-end. Highly analytical and detail-oriented, comfortable working with large datasets (Excel/Google Sheets at an advanced level; experience with ERP and reporting tools is a strong plus). A proactive, structured communicator who collaborates effectively with stakeholders across Finance and can explain technical topics clearly. Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, scaling environment; you balance precision with pragmatism and continuously look for ways to improve processes. Fluency in English (German is a plus). Extras that give you an edge Experience in SAP S/4 Hana or similar ERPs. Experience with process automation (e.g., advanced Excel, SQL, BI tools, or similar). Prior experience in an international, multi-entity environment. Professional certification (e.g., CPA/ACCA) is a plus.
