We deliver smooth, trusted sign-up and sign-in experiences and clear, helpful profile surfaces that unlock more relevant, personalized journeys and reduce friction at key moments - especially Checkout - driving higher conversion, stronger lifetime value, and sustainable customer growth. The team is also driving a major modernization of our tech stack, with a focus on high-quality AI-first development and scalability. Your mission Design and develop scalable and secure systems that power the checkout flow and the login experience, with the primary focus on backend systems but including frontend work as needed Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand customer needs, propose technical solutions, and deliver working software that solves customer problems and drives measurable impact Help evolve AI-first development in the team, shaping best practices and foundations that enhance quality and productivity. Continuously improve our systems by systematically removing tech debt and creating simple, scalable, and maintainable solutions Take an active role in operational work, advancing how we run our services Work in a cross-functional mission team alongside product managers, designers, and data analysts Mentor engineers, contribute to team culture, and help teammates do their best work through feedback and knowledge-sharing. Your toolkit 5+ years of software development experience Proficiency in Java/Spring and the ability to build features end-to-end Ability to contribute to the frontend codebase and ship customer-facing changes A strong background in designing and implementing scalable service-oriented architectures and a good understanding of design patterns Experience building and running production services in cloud environments and with modern observability tools Excited to leverage and experiment with AI; able to judge and improve the quality of AI-generated code A positive, team-oriented mindset, and a passion for taking initiative, mentoring and sharing knowledge A passion for delivering clean code and continuously learning about new tools, languages, and practices Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Extras that give you an edge Experience working in (or closely with) e-commerce or marketplaces Experience with A/B testing Experience helping teams adopt AI-assisted development practices How we’ll make your career journey extraordinary Annual personal growth budget and mentorship programs for continuous learning and development Work from anywhere in the world for 30 days per year A hybrid working approach with three days of in office collaboration (Mon, Tue, Thur) and two days of optional at home focus time.
