About the Role We’re looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented, and technically proficient Lead Capitalized Assets Accountant. This individual will play a key role in supporting complex accounting matters, building scalable processes, collaborating cross-functionally, and contributing to a strong internal control and reporting environment that meets the standards of a sophisticated, fast-growing SaaS company. This is a full-time position based in our Bengaluru, India office. During the initial onboarding period (typically 3 months), the role will primarily work U.S. business hours in a remote capacity to support close collaboration with the team. As the individual gains proficiency and autonomy in the role, the position will transition to a hybrid, in-office schedule in Bengaluru, working standard IST hours. Our hybrid work model offers a blend of remote flexibility and in-person collaboration, including two days in the office each week to connect and build as a team. Technologies You’ll Use NetSuite, Coupa, FloQast, Jira, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite What You’ll Do Own the operational accounting for key technical areas such as ASC 350-40 (Capitalized Software), ASC 718 (Stock-Based Compensation), ASC 842 (Leases) and ASC 340 (Capitalized Commissions). Partner cross-functionally with Technical Accounting, Engineering, FPA, Payroll, and other departments to ensure proper treatment and timely recognition of expenses. Support month-end and quarter-end close activities, including flux analysis and internal reporting. Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations with a high level of accuracy. Assist in preparing audit support for areas under your ownership. Help design and implement efficient process improvements that support organizational growth.
