Backend Engineer – Microservices (4-6 Years Experience) Experience 3–5 years Job Summary We are looking for a Backend Engineer with strong experience in Java and Spring Boot to design and build scalable, reliable microservices . The role requires solid backend system design skills , experience with event-driven architectures using Kafka , and a strong focus on test-driven development . You will work on distributed systems deployed on Kubernetes using modern CI/CD practices . Key Responsibilities Backend Development Design and develop microservices using Java and Spring Boot Build RESTful APIs and asynchronous services using Kafka Ensure services meet requirements for performance, scalability, and reliability System Design & Architecture Contribute to end-to-end backend system design Design services considering scalability, fault tolerance, and data consistency Apply clean architecture principles & standard design patterns, Participate in architecture and design discussions Testing & DevOps Follow Test-Driven Development (TDD) and write unit/integration tests Containerize services using Docker and deploy on Kubernetes Work with CI/CD pipelines for build, test, and deployment Monitor and debug production issues Required Skills & Qualifications Strong proficiency in Java (8) and Spring Boot Hands-on experience with microservices architecture Experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven systems Strong understanding of backend system design and distributed systems Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD Good knowledge of unit testing and TDD Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases Nice to Have Spring Cloud, API Gateway, Service Discovery Observability tools (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana) Cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure) Knowledge of API security (OAuth2, JWT) About Adobe Adobe empowers everyone to create through innovative platforms and tools that unleash creativity, productivity and personalized customer experiences.
