Controller JOB TITLE: CONTROLLER ABOUT THE ROLE ZeroRFI is seeking an experienced Controller to join our Atlanta-based startup. This role is vital in building and managing our financial systems, reporting, and compliance processes as we rapidly grow. The ideal candidate will bring substantial hands-on expertise with startups or high-growth companies. RESPONSIBILITIES - Oversee all accounting operations and financial reporting - Develop, implement, and monitor financial procedures and internal controls - Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial statements - Manage cash flow, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and reconciliations - Support fundraising efforts, including financial due diligence and investor reporting - Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant tax requirements - Collaborate with leadership on business strategy and financial planning - Build and lead a growing finance team as the company scales REQUIREMENTS - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA a plus) - 5+ years accounting/finance experience, including at least 2 years in a startup or high-growth company - Advanced knowledge of GAAP, financial regulations, and accounting systems - Demonstrated track record in process improvement and change management - Proficient with accounting software and Excel - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities - Based in (or willing to relocate to) Atlanta, GA BENEFITS - Competitive salary and equity package - Opportunity to shape financial processes and strategy at an early stage - Collaborative, fast-paced startup environment - Growth and professional development opportunities If you thrive in a dynamic setting and want to help build the financial future of ZeroRFI, apply today!
