YOU WILL: - Handle and distribution of ingredients: - Relocate ingredients and supplies from reception to the storage, fridges or kitchen area. - Relocate prepped food to dedicate storage spaces and fridges. - Assist in collecting empty serving bowls/trays from the buffet area and at times, returning with full bowls/trays for service. - Coordinate the dishwashing station: - Peak time of 12pm - 2pm should be attended to at all times. - Ensure all items cleaned are done so in a polished and ready to use state, and return these items to their correct storage spaces. - Maintain cleanliness of cleaning utensils, machines and manage their detergents and cleaning supplies associated with the kitchen cleaning. - Manage garbage collection and its disposal: - Conduct twice daily garbage disposal runs - which include going down stairs, loading a trolley and travelling to the dedicated spot outside. - Assist in conducting inventory of kitchen and front of house ware: - Communicate and coordinate with office assistants in identifying shortages during service of cutlery, glasses, plates and additional front of house tools. - Inform chefs of worn down or broken kitchen tools, pots, pans, serving dishes etc. - Overall cleanliness of kitchen and front house/coffee area: - Assist in keeping both areas generally tidy and presentable for service and rest of day use. - Communicate any important points to be handed over to the cleaning team or office assistant teams that will assist in completing any tasks to end the day and allow for a great start the next. - Complete checks of coffee area in conjunction with office assistants to maintain cleanliness and usability of this space YOU BRING: - Willingness to learn and explore the diversity that working in a kitchen can be. You are fresh to the scene and hungry for action and working in a unique kitchen environment. - Great Communication skills - You will interact daily not only with your direct team, but with team members of the entire Berlin office. - Physical stamina and ability to lift/carry items, roughly 18kg. - Strong sense of prioritization - Collaborative spirit and a positive can-do attitude - Health and safety awareness and some previous exposure to food hygiene and safety is a plus - Curiosity and sense of wanting to improve how things can be done better YOU ENJOY: - Checking in with your team to see when others may need a helping hand. - Accepting help when offered and asking for help and cooperation, especially when you can predict it being needed. - Working in a fast paced environment that is often performed in front of other colleagues, so being able to keep your composure during intense moments is a plus. - Socializing with people - Being open to giving and receiving feedback. - Being reliable and have a consistent routine BENEFITS: AMBOSSians tell us that innovative work keeps them energized and employee benefits help them to feel appreciated and empowered.
