About the Opportunity: We’re looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to own and continually improve our end‑to‑end payroll operations. In this role, you’ll ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll execution across a growing, multi‑state workforce while serving as a trusted partner to HR, Accounting, and field teams. You’ll bring deep payroll expertise, strong attention to detail, and a service‑oriented mindset to support employees and help Machinify deliver on its commitment to operational excellence. What You’ll Do: Manage the end-to-end bi-weekly and semimonthly payroll process for all employees, ensuring precise and compliant execution in accordance with company guidelines and applicable laws Oversee the accuracy and upkeep of employee payroll records Monitor and comply with all federal, state, and local payroll tax obligations, including the preparation and submission of required tax filings Compile, track, and maintain prevailing wage documentation Work cross-functionally with Human Resources and Accounting to ensure payroll, benefit deductions, and reconciliations are accurate and aligned Provide clear, professional support to field and office staff regarding payroll-related inquiries and concerns Research and correct payroll variances promptly to minimize impact and ensure resolution Participate in internal and external audits, year-end close activities, and other special payroll initiatives Evaluate payroll work What You Bring: Five or more years of experience overseeing payroll operations In-depth knowledge of payroll compliance, including tax laws and reporting requirements Hands-on experience with prevailing wage reporting standards and multistate requirements Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and Outlook Paycom experience preferred What We Offer: Top Medical/Dental/Vision offerings FSA/HSA Tuition reimbursement Competitive salary, 401(k) with company match Unlimited PTO Additional health and wellness benefits and perks Flexible and trusting environment where you’ll feel empowered to do your best work The salary for this position is based on an array of factors unique to each candidate: Such as years and depth of experience, set skills, certifications, etc. We are hiring for different levels, and our Recruiting team will let you know if you qualify for a different role/range. Salary is one component of the total compensation package, which includes meaningful equity, excellent healthcare, flexible time off, and other benefits and perks.
