Vice President, Aladdin Business Development
We are seeking to expand our Canadian go to market team with an experienced sales professional. Your proven track record of managing complex enterprise relationships within Canada’s financial services industry, focused on institutional buy-side asset management will make you a successful contributor to our business.
You will join a growing team dedicated to driving the regional expansion of our technology and data business with Asset Owners, Asset Managers and Asset Servicers, investing in, acting in, and supporting public and private markets.
To thrive in this role, you will bring exceptional commercial acumen, demonstrable success in enterprise sales, a passion for delivering results, and a commitment to building strong, trusted relationships that create value for both clients and our firm.
This is an opportunity to join a dynamic team to accelerate sales of BlackRock’s Aladdin solution suite and deliver against revenue targets with specific focus on Canada.
Your day would include:
Supporting our data-driven go-to-market efforts with industry and account specific analysis
Delivering presentations of our solutions to potential and existing clients
Crystallizing customized products and services value proposition in support of our clients’ business objectives and outcomes
Building on your existing network to actively generate and advance sales pipeline
Establishing and maintaining senior management-level client connectivity
Conducting research into current and future industry trends to stay ahead of the market
Developing a strong understanding of the Aladdin product suite and value proposition
Coordinating partner teams along the path of the end-to-end opportunity sales
Analytically planning pipeline and targets in our data driven forecasting framework
Planning and executing go-to-market activities and client engagement
Skills & Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess some combination of the following:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent as minimum (CFA designation a plus)
5 experiences in the financial services industry as a practitioner, consultant, sales executive, or sales engineer
Deep understanding of the nuances of the Canadian approach to investment management
A Sales mentality with strong qualifying and closing mindset
Robust interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable collaborating closely with both BlackRock's clients and colleagues at all levels
Skilled in generating leads through cold calling, research, networking, and advancing these to defined processes
Experience in working with common CRM tools
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with great sense of detail and urgency
A forward-thinking student of markets and people and a great teammate in Canada

For Toronto, Canada Only the salary range for this position is CAD$142,000.00 - CAD$195,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
