Key Responsibilities: - Identify and investigate failures in silicon, products, packages, platforms, and boards to enhance yield, quality, and reliability. - Define failure analysis strategies and conduct comprehensive lab evaluations of electrical and mechanical characteristics of integrated circuits, components, subcomponents, and systems. - Determine root causes of failure through systematic analysis and thorough explanation of interactions between materials and devices. - Develop advanced methodologies-electrical, analytical, and mechanical-to ensure strategic failure analysis capabilities for future technologies and products. - Direct new technology and product transfers, manufacturing startups, and improve automation and efficiency in failure analysis processes. - Analyze failure reports, recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence, and ensure proliferation of shared learning across global sites. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree (BS) in a specialized field such as Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or similar discipline. - 0-1 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, or no experience required with a Master's degree. - Proficiency in electrical testing and analysis methodologies. - Knowledge of materials science and mechanical failure analysis techniques. - Competency in utilizing and interpreting data from advanced lab equipment such as scanning electron microscopes, X-ray imaging systems, and electrical testers. Preferred Qualifications: - Master's degree (MS) or PhD in a related field. - Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to investigate complex failures. - Effective communication abilities to document findings and share insights across teams and sites. - Demonstrated ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. - Enthusiasm to embrace challenges and grow within a highly technical discipline.
