TEAM The Engineering & Data team builds innovative tech products and platforms to support the impressive growth of their gaming and consumer apps which allow Voodoo to stay at the forefront of the mobile gaming industry. ROLE We’re looking for an Engineering Lead (TypeScript/Node.js) to join our Engineering & Data team. As an Engineering Lead, you'll combine strong individual technical contributions with team leadership. You'll be responsible for the technical direction of your squad, the growth of your engineers, and the delivery of high-impact projects. This is a hybrid IC/manager role — you'll still write code, but your leverage is through the team. - Lead the technical direction and architecture for your squad's domain - Drive design reviews, set coding standards, and ensure engineering excellence - Own the full delivery of complex, cross-team technical initiatives - Build, scale and operate Node.js/TypeScript backend services on AWS/EKS - Define the infrastructure and reliability strategy for your team's systems - Partner with Product and Data to translate business goals into technical roadmaps - Grow engineers through 1:1s, code reviews, mentorship and technical coaching - Identify systemic risks and drive improvements before they become incidents - Be an ambassador for engineering culture: psychological safety, pragmatism, and craft PROFILE (MUST HAVE) - 7+ years of professional software engineering experience - 2+ years of experience leading an engineering team (formal or informal) - Expert-level proficiency in TypeScript /Node.js - Good knowledge of industry best practices (SOLID, KISS, YAGNI, DDD, TDD...) - Proven ability to own and deliver large technical projects with cross-team dependencies - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills - Track record of growing engineers and building high-performing teams - Ability to balance speed-of-delivery with long-term technical health PROFILE (NICE TO HAVE) - Advanced PostgreSQL — schema design at scale, performance tuning, migrations - Experience with VueJS or frontend architecture decisions - Experience with AWS infrastructure (EKS, Lambda, RDS/Aurora, SQS/SNS, CloudFront, ALB) - Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CDK, Helm) at scale - Observability and SRE practices: SLOs, error budgets, on-call management - Experience operating in a hyper-growth or gaming/consumer product company - Platform engineering or developer experience background OUR STACK - TypeScript ; Node.js ; AWS ; Terraform ; CDK ; Helm BENEFITS - Competitive salary based on experience - Swile Lunch voucher - Gymlib (100% covered by Voodoo) - Premium healthcare coverage with SideCare, 100% covered for you and your family - Wellness activities in our Paris office - Remote Fridays
