Our Sales Engineers serve as the pre-sales technical experts, partnering closely with the Sales team for the duration of the sales process. We prioritize a "learn and get better" mentality, balancing technical expertise with a consultant’s approach to solve complex contracting bottlenecks for modern businesses.
About the role:
The Sales Engineer is a technically curious self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will drive sales by designing, building, and presenting custom demonstrations of the LinkSquares platform, focusing specifically on customer use cases. You are the technical representative of the Sales team, responsible for matching customer pain points to our proposed solutions and working cross-functionally to continually improve the customer experience.
Responsibilities:
Technical Demonstrations: Develop and deliver product demonstrations, including data preparation, demo configurations, and reports.
Proof of Concept: Help support proof of concept trials for prospective customers.
Strategic Partnership: Partner with Sales for the duration of the sales process and maintain strong client relationships.
Solution Mapping:
Articulate and demonstrate how the product meets business needs and addresses technology issues; successfully match customer requirements to solutions.
Competitive Intelligence: Become an expert on LinkSquares’ competition, lending expertise to the Sales team on displacement deals.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work internally to refine processes and ensure the successful technical alignment of our offerings with customer growth goals.
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in sales engineering or technical problem-solving within a SaaS environment.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical ideas simply.
Experience in technical configuration; proficiency or appetite to learn programming languages such as JSON, HTML, or JavaScript.
Proficiency with Salesforce (SFDC) is a must.
Experience with API and systems integration.
Ability to work to strict targets and deadlines in a high-growth environment.
Compensation for this role includes an annual base salary between $100,000 to $130,000. On-target commissions for this role range between $25,000 to $30,000 annually, with an opportunity to earn more than the on-target commission by exceeding targets. LinkSquares takes into consideration a number of factors when determining an employee’s starting salary, including work location, job-related skills, and relevant education, experience and training.
