Sr. Director Engineering - Agentic

The Opportunity Adobe is reimagining the future of creativity — where generative AI, intelligent agents, and human imagination work hand in hand. As the Senior Director of Engineering, Agentic, you will lead the technical execution of forward-looking platform bets: building the agentic infrastructure and experiences that will define how creativity gets done in the AI era. You'll partner directly with Product leadership to architect, build, and ship across two interconnected domains — Adobe's own first-party agentic experiences, and the packaging and distribution of Adobe's capabilities across the third-party AI ecosystem. You will lead engineering for Adobe's differentiated agentic harness — the platform that orchestrates generative models , document intelligence, creative workflows, and decades of differentiated Adobe capabilities into intelligent, multi-step experiences for creators and enterprise customers. This spans the full agentic stack: in-app AI assistants, desktop workflow automation, and long-running cloud-based creative production pipelines. You'll work across a federated set of product engineering teams and be responsible for driving coherence, quality, and velocity on a platform that serves as the runtime layer for all agentic capabilities in Creative Cloud! You will also lead the engineering responsible for packaging and publishing Adobe's capabilities — tools, skills, and MCPs — across the rapidly expanding landscape of AI surfaces: AI chat portals, desktop and mobile operating systems, and vertical applications across industries. This requires deep fluency in emerging agentic standards (MCP, plugin architecture, skills manifests) and the ability to operate on a running release train model tied to major partner platform launches. This is a rare opportunity to build the engineering foundation for Adobe's presence in the next generation of creative software. The right person brings experience leading platform and systems engineering at scale, a strong point of view on agentic architecture, and the ability to move fast in a space where the standards, the competition, and the opportunity are all evolving in real time! What you'll do Lead the architecture and development of Adobe's agentic harness for both our 1 st and 3 rd party agentic solutions . Drive coherence across a federated engineering landscape, aligning teams building multiple components of the catalog of capabilities . Grow and lead multiple engineering teams across Adobe's agentic platform and packaging functions, driving technical strategy, team health, and execution velocity . Own the engineering roadmap for packaging and publishing Adobe's agentic capabilities (tools, skills, MCPs) across third-party AI surfaces . Partner closely with the Agentic Product Management leads for 1P and 3P to define technical scope, sequence delivery, and translate product strategy into executable engineering plans Lead the design and delivery of multi-tier agentic experiences spanning in-app AI assistants, desktop workflow automation, cloud-based orchestration, and long-running enterprise pipelines Ensure Adobe's agentic packages meet the technical standards, reliability, and quality bar required for launch on major partner platforms, operating on a running release train model .
