Shipping and Receiving Specialist (Contract)

Thanks for your interest in Oklo! We are searching for a passionate, and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our team. This is a hands-on, in-person role ideal for someone energetic, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Position Description The Shipping Receiving Specialist will manage daily inbound and outbound shipments at our Idaho Falls facility. Responsibilities include receiving and inspecting deliveries, updating inventory records, preparing outgoing packages, coordinating carrier pickups, and maintaining general warehouse organization. Specific responsibilities may include: Inbound Logistics Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy condition. Record tracking information and update inventory systems. Assist with unloading freight from trucks safely and efficiently. Outbound Logistics Package and label shipments for carriers. Coordinate carrier pickups and ensure timely dispatch. Warehouse Facility Support Perform general warehouse housekeeping and basic janitorial tasks. Maintain organized storage and work areas. Support small office tasks (stock supplies, handle trash/recycling). Coordinate with facilities manager and team lead to ensure a safe and efficient workplace. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma Familiar with shop safety, PPE, and housekeeping basics Basic computer skills: spreadsheets/docs, file management Organized and reliable: follow instructions, document work, and track materials Strong communication and teamwork; asks clarifying questions and closes loops Able to lift up to ~50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform shop/fab tasks with or without reasonable accommodation Willing to support occasional off-hours work or local field/onsite deployments as needed Valid driver’s license Bonus Qualifications: Forklift certification Previous warehouse or logistics experience Previous experience in manufacturing Who you are: A startup person : You aren't driven by titles or hierarchy, and prefer efficiency to excess process.
