Field Service Technician III - Deploy Only

The Field Service Technician III is a senior-level position that involves performing expert-level technical maintenance, repair, and support for complex systems. This role requires advanced diagnostic skills, leadership abilities, and the capacity to manage field projects independently. The technician will also play a key role in developing training materials and protocols for both customers and internal teams. The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber. Responsibilities: Perform expert-level maintenance and repairs on complex aerospace and defense systems. Independently manage field service projects, ensuring timely and accurate completion. Diagnose and resolve the most challenging technical issues. Lead and mentor junior and mid-level technicians, providing technical guidance and support. Develop and deliver advanced training programs for customers and internal teams. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all field activities and equipment status. Ensure strict compliance with safety standards and industry regulations. Oversee inventory management for spare parts and tools. Generate comprehensive technical reports and present findings to stakeholders. Travel extensively to customer sites, potentially including international locations. Qualifications You Must Have: High school diploma or GED equivalent. 3 years of experience as a technician or in a related field. Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience. Ability to understand and interpret basic technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications. Progressive experience using troubleshooting techniques. Thorough understanding of electrical wiring concepts. Ability to frequently travel outside the continental US, typically for extended periods of time. Ability to deploy for an extended amount of time to various OCONUS operating locations. Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command requirements for deployed locations. Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment. Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules as required. Current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally. Willing to deploy OCONUS on an approximate 90/90 rotation. An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required Qualifications We Prefer: Associate's degree in a related field of study. Experience with FCC or FCC General Radio Operator License (GROL). Prior experience with Security, Network, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), and/or A. Basic understanding of Spectrometer, Oscilloscope, and/or Pitot Static equipment gauges. Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military. Experience in leading technical teams or projects. Strong presentation and communication skills. Essential Functions: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the work shift. Hand and finger dexterity to work with small mechanical components and tools. Ability to work in a noisy environment with potential exposure to hazardous materials. Ability to travel frequently to customer locations, sometimes on short notice. Ability to work in a combination of office and field environments.
