Role Description
We are seeking a driven and enthusiastic CICD Engineer Apprentice to join our team. This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in building and managing automated application delivery pipelines with high cloud exposure across both AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will work closely with our experienced SRE engineers, learning how to implement and optimize the processes that ensure our applications—ranging from backends to frontends—are built, tested, and deployed reliably. While the role focuses on application automation, you will gain significant experience with multi-cloud environments and "Infrastructure-as-Code" (IaC) principles.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CICD) pipelines for various application stacks (Java, Node.js, Go, and Python).
Learn to configure and use Jenkins to automate the build, test, and deployment phases across AWS and GCP environments.
Gain experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes (GKE EKS).
Help implement automation solutions using Ansible and Terraform for provisioning and managing multi-cloud development and production environments.
Participate in the monitoring and troubleshooting of CICD pipelines to ensure high availability and environment stability.
Collaborate with SRE teams to integrate automated workflows and gain exposure to cloud-native architecture.
Research new CICD tools and cloud services to improve deployment efficiency and reliability.
Required Qualifications
Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Core Knowledge: Foundational knowledge of software development lifecycles and cloud computing concepts.
Technical Skills: Basic understanding of programming or scripting languages such as Java, Node.js, Go, or Python.
Systems: Familiarity with Linux administration and version control systems like Git.
Mindset: Eagerness to learn and master industry-standard tools and platforms, specifically Jenkins, Kubernetes, Google Cloud, and AWS.
Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit.
Bonus: Prior projects or coursework demonstrating an interest in cloud automation or application deployment.
