The Data Platform Product team enables product, analytics, and AI teams to move faster by providing reliable, scalable, and governed platform infrastructure. The Orchestration team defines how data and capabilities are accessed and invoked across Zillow, spanning Graph, APIs, AI tools, and workflows. This includes MCP Gateway, the runtime layer that allows AI agents to securely invoke internal tools, and ZG Graph (GraphQL), the unified access layer for cross-domain data. The team also owns the broader orchestration layer that connects data, services, and AI systems into a consistent platform. Together, this team shapes how systems interact across Zillow, enabling consistent, governed, and scalable integration across product, analytics, and AI use cases. The MCP Gateway & Registry team operates the control plane for AI tool invocation across Zillow. As AI adoption accelerates, MCP ensures agents can securely discover, authenticate to, and invoke tools in a standardized way. We focus on reliability, governance, lifecycle management, and secure multi-team scalability so AI systems can grow without fragmentation or operational risk. About the role As a Senior Product Manager for Data Orchestration, you will define how applications and AI agents securely and reliably access and compose data and capabilities across Zillow. You will own strategy and execution across MCP Gateway and ZG Graph, establishing consistent access patterns, authentication and authorization standards, operational excellence bars, and scalable onboarding models. This role is foundational infrastructure. Gaps in reliability or governance impact multiple products and AI workflows simultaneously. You will balance platform hardening with adoption growth, evolving the orchestration layer from fragmented integrations into trusted Tier-0 infrastructure. Your work will directly shape how data and AI capabilities are accessed, composed, and governed across the enterprise. You Will Get To Own the Data Orchestration roadmap end-to-end across MCP Gateway and ZG Graph, defining clear problem statements, success metrics, and platform adoption targets Define and evolve the unified access model for how applications and AI agents interact with data and capabilities, spanning GraphQL, APIs, and AI tool invocation Enable Data Mesh adoption by defining and scaling domain-driven access patterns, aligning orchestration with domain models, lifecycle contracts, and cross-domain interoperability Establish and uphold the operational excellence bar for the orchestration layer, including availability, latency, observability, and incident response standards Define authentication, authorization, and access patterns that enable secure, scalable interaction across data, services, and AI-powered tools Design and operationalize governance models for access and orchestration, including lifecycle expectations, versioning standards, and ownership clarity across domains Create paved paths and platform primitives that reduce onboarding friction while preventing fragmented or unmanaged integration patterns Drive adoption of MCP Gateway and ZG Graph as the default access layer through structured rollouts, enablement, and measurable impact Use reliability, adoption, and governance metrics to continuously improve platform performance and prioritize platform hardening versus expansion This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions. In California, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $148,600.00 - $237,400.00 annually.
